Skin Cancer in Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan residents are more likely to seek a tan, get a sunburn and to use indoor tanning beds than other Canadians.
Saskatchewan residents are likely to spend more time in the sun (i.e., 30 minutes or more) between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on a typical weekday and weekend in comparison to Canadians. They are also less likely to seek shade and avoid direct sun between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., wear sunglasses, and use sunscreen on their face and on any parts of their body that are not covered up.
